Constructionline is the UK’s register of local and national construction and
construction-related suppliers pre-qualified to work for public and private
sector buyers. It is owned by the Department for Business, Innovation &
Skills (formerly the DTI) and supported by the Office of Government
Commerce and the Department of Communities and Local Government. Its
aim is to provide savings to public and private sector procurers and the
construction industry as a whole by streamlining procurement procedures.
This is a formally recognised pre-qualification scheme which gives clients a
confidence assessment of a company where factors such as Quality,
Insurances, Health and Safety, Finances, Customer Satisfaction Levels etc
are assessed on an ongoing basis. Constructionline saves us time and
frustration by simply removing the need to complete endless PQQ forms
every time we tender.
Constructionline demonstrate to buyers that we are fit-to-supply and prequalified to government standards. At the heart of what Constructionline
do is their national online database, the UK's largest register for prequalified contractors and consultants. In terms of efficiency, time and cost
saving and best practice, Constructionline is proven to deliver for public
and private sector organisations alike. Its service is recommended by the
OGC Common Minimum Standards and The Local Government Task Force.
By providing an up-to-date register of pre-qualified suppliers for
construction contracts, Constructionline is a commonsense solution that
8,000 buyers from over 2,000 organisations are already making the most
of. We pre-qualify all of our suppliers to government standards, and
maintain relationships with a range of industry, E purchasing and
Government Partners to ensure that we remain relevant to procurement
professionals within the construction industry
